The new UHS-10, the ultimate 3-in-1 desktop banknote processing solution

Glory announces a new solution to its expanding family of desktop banknote sorting solutions – UHS-10, the ultimate 3-in-1 system that provides never-seen-before banknote sorting, strapping and serial number capture capabilities; all in a single desktop device

With the continued 'decentralisation' of cash processing from National Central Banks to the commercial sector, banks around the world are taking on a greater level of cash processing within the branch environment. This includes in-branch fitness sorting and serial number management.

However, the workspace for a vault teller is often limited, with the preference to dedicate branch space to customer areas. Often, it is difficult and cumbersome to install large cash handling machines into the branch, where space is at a premium.

The UHS-10 from Glory is a new type of desktop banknote sorter, designed for bank branches looking to deploy a compact but powerful banknote processing solution that provides:

1. Banknote sorting with fitness classification
2. Non-stop banknote strapping
3. Simultaneous banknote serial number capture

With its compact design and a combination of functionality previously only achievable on separate devices, the UHS-10 provides an innovative way of efficiently processing large cash deposits within the branch. Gavin Doyle, Global Business Development Manager at Glory Global Solutions says:

We’re very excited to launch the new UHS-10; this new technology is a testament to Glory’s commitment to providing innovative solutions to our customers. We expect UHS-10 to revolutionise the way branches process large banknote deposits at the teller counter. Previously, a teller would need a banknote sorter, a strapping device, both connected to a PC to record the banknote serial numbers. UHS-10 enables the teller to perform all three of these tasks, but in now one compact, space saving device.

The UHS-10 will see its first deployment in China, where banknotes (both fit and unfit) are commonly moved and transported as strapped bundles. Following this initial market introduction, Glory will launch the UHS-10 solution to other markets.
